SRE Workshop 2026

Between 19-22 June 2026, the workshop will take place in ŞIRNEA - the first tourist village in Romania, on the theme: New objectives for the preservation of natural resources and the valorization of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) in Romania.

The SRE workshop on the theme "New objectives for the preservation of natural resources and the valorization of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) in Romania" will take place in ŞIRNEA - the first tourist village in Romania, between 19-22 June 2026 - as usual around the Sânziene celebration - when cosmic and terrestrial energies intertwine - and the plants of Şirnea hold a special charm! They become positive energies in the most diverse forms, colours and fragrances, and the transfer of their healing power is at its peak! On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Romanian Society of Ethnopharmacology, we aim to hold an interactive meeting addressing a series of aspects related to healthy eating, dietary supplements, phytopharmaceutical products, the quality and control of medicinal and aromatic plants, forest by-products and the raw materials derived from them (through extraction, purification, etc.). This year's workshop aims, through thematic discussions and concrete proposals, to contribute to: THE REVITALISATION OF THE POTENTIAL OF NATURAL RESOURCES WITH NUTRITIVE, THERAPEUTIC AND AROMATIC QUALITIES - WHICH ROMANIA POSSESSES - AND THEIR OPTIMAL VALORISATION, IN THE SPIRIT OF ETHNOPHARMACOLOGY: "FROM TRADITION - THROUGH SCIENCE - TO HEALTHY REMEDIES"!
